The Portage Public Schools district-wide building program involved renovations and additions including a replacement of Central High School, renovations and additions to Northern High School, two new elementary schools and technology upgrades for nine
additional elementary buildings.

The classrooms receiving upgrades have been designed to function as Technology Enhanced Classrooms (TEC) with interactive teacher stations which allow for instant display and demonstration of learning material.

The new schools have been designed and constructed to meet or exceed current sustainable design standards for energy efficiency, occupant comfort and air quality. Materials used were selected for recycled content, future recyclability, low volatile organic compound, durability and ease of maintenance. Additionally, a horizontal geothermal system was installed in the elementary schools to provide a renewable energy source.

Portage Public Schools undertook over $100 million in projects constructing and renovating multiple facilities over a three year period. Triangle assisted with planning this work during the budgeting and pre-construction phases.
