Triangle worked very closely with the Northwest Community School district on pre-bond planning and strategy, helping them successfully pass a $40 million dollar bond campaign.

This was the first construction bond to pass within the last 40 years. Prior to the proposal passing, there had been nine failed attempts.

This bond program provided the school with a new cafeteria, media center and auxiliary gym at Northwest High School, a new elementary school, and repairs, maintenance and enhancements to all existing buildings.

The new 78,500 sq ft elementary school was designed and built based on a pod system which keeps each grade level separate and allows for future growth as the school district expands. The 26 classroom building includes ten kindergarten rooms, eight first grade rooms and eight second grade rooms, all with designated community space. The school also includes rooms designated for resource, multipurpose, title one, energized education, speech, music and media.

Because of the sudden increase in student enrollment over the past year, the need for expanding the new elementary school is currently under way. We are currently adding a seven classroom addition (approximately 9,115 sq ft) to the elementary school at a cost of approximately $1.5 million. We are also conducting a district-wide facility assessment as we plan another bond campaign for 2016 currently estimated at approximately $25 million.
