Ferris State University – Center for Virtual Learning

Construction Management DTMB Funded New Construction

The Center for Virtual Learning (CVL) brings together Ferris State’s most innovative academic programs with advanced facilities, technologies and classroom designs. The 64,000 sq ft modern facility houses the Digital Media, Information Security and Intelligence (ISI), Digital Animation and Game Design, and Teacher Education programs.

The new facility serves as one of the core academic buildings on the North campus quad, creating better access to University facilities and services, reducing pedestrian-vehicular interaction and improving safety.

The unique Esports Arena, at the center of the new facility, is the first purpose-built esports arena in Michigan. The state-of-the-art arena gives production teams enhanced opportunities to gather and present replays during competition. The facility has spectator seating and can accommodate 18 participating teams.

This project is funded by the DTMB through Capital Outlay.
