MSU Steam & Road

This $3.5 million project consisted of road work and steam tunnel work at the intersection of Bogue and Shaw on MSU’s main campus. This included a new road and sidewalk configuration in addition to the reconfiguration of existing steam service, construction of new steam vaults, pre-cast tunnels and steam piping. Removal of the existing traffic circle was required to complete two new intersections. Demolition of existing sanitary/storm structures and extension of new water main service were also completed. Early digging and construction activity was coordinated in a manner that accommodated vehicle and pedestrian traffic at full capacity.
